Let's identify your device

(NOTE: If you are a business or organisation that would like to activate a Professional plan, use our Professional website.)

To find your IMEI number and authorisation code, select your inReach model.

1. Hold the power button (located on the back of the device, behind the upper-right corner of the screen) until the device screen turns on.
2. On the home screen, tap the inReach icon (Tread) or Team Tracking icon (Baja).
Look for the IMEI and authorisation code on the inReach screen.

2. Press the tick button to advance to the screen shown below.
Note: The IMEI and authorization code can also be found on the inReach under Settings > About This Device.

1. Hold the power key (located on the top of the device, next to the antenna) until the device screen turns on.
2. Select the Menu key twice to get to the Main Menu page.
3. Select the Setup icon.
4. Select the About icon. The IMEI and authorisation code are listed on the screen.
Look for the IMEI and authorisation code on the inReach screen.

  1. Hold the power button (located on the top of the device, next to the antenna) until the inReach screen turns on.
  2. (Mini 2 only) Press Down from the home screen.
  3. (Mini 2 only) Press OK to select "Activate Now".
  4. Press OK to advance to IMEI and auth code.
Note: The IMEI and authorisation code can also be found by pressing OK from the home screen to access the main menu and then:
  • Mini: Setup > About This Device
  • Mini 2: Settings > System > About

1. Hold the power key until the device screen turns on.
2. From the inReach welcome screen, select Next twice to advance to the screen that displays the IMEI and authorisation code.
Note: The IMEI and authorisation code can also be found by selecting the Home icon > Setup > About.
Look for the IMEI and authorisation code on the inReach screen.

  1. Press the power button (located on the side of the device).
  2. Press OK to select your language.
  3. Press OK to advance to pairing.
  4. Press OK to skip pairing.
  5. Press OK to select "Activate now".
Look for the IMEI and authorisation code on the inReach screen.

1. Hold the power key until the device screen turns on.
2. From the inReach welcome screen, select Activate.
3. Select Next twice to advance to the screen that displays the IMEI and authorisation code.
Note: The IMEI and authorisation code can also be found from the home page by selecting Setup > About.
